Dr Roy Miller is a consultant in Anaesthetics and Pain Management based at Colchester in Essex.
In 2009 Roy took a career break and went with his family to work at a small orthopaedic mission hospital in Blantyre, Malawi. During this time, while visiting some of the less well equipped hospitals in Malawi he became aware of the need for better provision of equipment and the need for improved biomedical engineer support to maintain and repair the equipment that is available. It was this that led him to become involved with the work of Medical Aid International.
Roy now lives back in Colchester with his wife Janette and has two grown up sons. Outside of work, Roy enjoys running and is an active member of a local church.
One of the easy we can make budgets go a long way is the sensible use of equipment no longer required in the west. This recycling is very effective. Please do contact us for further details if you think you have equipment of any sort that may help.
